In short

Two ways to power Granular

Granular runs on AI agents, and you can power them two ways:

  • Bring your own login — sign in with an existing Claude or Codex account and Granular uses it.
  • Granular AI add-on — hosted models with zero setup, metered and ready to use, on any plan.

Choosing and switching models

The model picker lives right under the prompt. Switch engines or models per turn, and pick the effort level for a task. The AI add-on adds a growing lineup of hosted models so you can rotate freely without managing API keys.

Using your own API key

Prefer your own provider key? Store it in the Vault and Granular uses it securely — never printing it in chat. See plans and the AI add-on for hosted options.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need my own AI subscription?
Not necessarily. You can bring an existing Claude or Codex login, or use the Granular AI add-on for hosted models with no separate subscription to manage.
Which models can I use?
Claude and Codex as agent engines, plus a growing lineup of hosted models (including GPT, Gemini, and others) through the AI add-on.
How is the AI add-on billed?
As a metered add-on you can buy monthly or annually, on any plan. See the plans page for current pricing.
